We have to get our bulk on this winter! I want a season of power hitters once spring gets here. With that, I’m going to sprinkle in good core workouts to strengthen those big muscles and create a few animals out there.
A push-up pyramid is simple. Do one push up, and break for 10 seconds. Do 2 push ups, break for 10 seconds. Do this up to 5, break for 30 seconds, and then back down to 1.
If 5 is too easy, go to 6. If 6 is too easy, go to 7. If they get to 10, the make sure their form is good, because no 7/8 year old is banging out a 100+ push up set.
Back straight, check to the floor, all the way up.
If you have bands, following this with a band row pyramid is a perfect way to balance pushing a pulling motions to keep those bodies in balance.
